Hara Bhara Kabab is a famous north Indian dish. The reason behind its fancy name is all the green vegetables such as coriander leaves, peas, and spinach used to prepare it. This dish is considered a package of nutrition and taste and that’s why it has a huge fan following.
Hara Bhara Kabab is not something that you can get only in restaurants. You can make them in the comfort of your home and that too with ease. Yuvaap has brought you the perfect recipe to make yummy and crunchy Hara Bhara Kabab at home so that you don’t have to worry about all those extra calories. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Ingredients
- Coconut pressed oil- 1 teaspoon
- Cumin- 1 teaspoon
- Ginger- 1 teaspoon (grated)
- Green chili – ½ teaspoon (Chopped)
- Beans – ½ cup (chopped)
- Green capsicum – ½ cup (chopped)
- Spinach – ½ cup (in small pieces)
- Green peas – ½ cup (soaked)
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Potatoes – 2 – 3 Pieces (Boiled and mashed)
- Cumin powder- ½ teaspoon
- Cayenne Pepper – 1 teaspoon
- Coriander – 2 teaspoons (crushed)
- Corn flour – ¼ cup
Instructions
- First of all, heat a cauldron properly and add 1 tbsp cold coconut pressed oil, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon grated ginger, and ½ teaspoon Green chili. Mix these ingredients and roast them effectively. Do not overcook them.
- Secondly, add ½ cup beans, ½ cup chopped green capsicum, ½ cup Spinach in pieces, ½ cup green peas (soaked in water), and 1 teaspoon salt in the same cauldron.
- Then, roast all these ingredients again until they smell good. Once done, let it dry because the veggies will release water.
- After the mixture has dried, blend it in a grinder to give it a coarse texture.
- Take a bowl and add 2 -3 boiled potatoes and mash them properly.
- Add 1 teaspoon of Cumin powder, 1 teaspoon of cayenne Pepper, 2 teaspoons of coriander powder, and ¼ cup of corn flour in that bowl and knead to get a smooth dough out of it.
- Now apply some oil to your hand, make round-shaped balls, and press it to make the shape of a patty. If the mixture is very soft, add corn flour to make it thick.
- Now take a baking tray, spread butter paper over it, and keep all your patties on it.
- Then keep your patties inside the preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, take the tray out carefully,
- Your crispy kebabs are ready
- Serve it with your favorite chutney, and enjoy!
