It is fun to eat as well as to cook, right? We all love paneer, don’t we? But when it comes to opting for a vegan life, the memories of paneer become difficult to forget. We know the struggle is real but we have a solution for this. We are here with an exciting recipe called Shahi Tofu which is a good alternative for vegans and people with lactose tolerance. Instead of cheese, it is made from soy. Tofu looks just like paneer and the taste difference isn’t that drastic either.
Shahi Tofu is the same as shahi paneer but it leans more to the healthy side. If you have already started drooling over then we won’t make you wait any longer. let’s start with the ingredients first
Ingredients:
- Tofu – (200 grams, small pieces)
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Rock salt – 1 tsp
- Cayenne Pepper – 1 tsp
- Cold-pressed coconut oil – 1 tsp
- Garlic pieces – 3-4
- Onion- ½ cup (sliced)
- Tomato- ½ cup (sliced)
- Ginger- 1 (chopped)
- Green chili- 1(chopped)
- Cashew- ½ cup
- Cinnamon stick – 1
- Black peppers – 3-4
- Green Cardamom – 1
- Cloves – 2-3
- Bay leaf – 1
- Rock salt – 1 tsp
- Kashmiri red chilies – 1
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Crushed coriander – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Water – ¼ cup
- Fenugreek leaves – 1 tsp
- Green coriander – ½ tbsp

Instructions
Shahi Tofu will sort out your dinner party or a Sunday lunch. These are a few instructions so that you can learn how to prepare this marvelous dish.
- Take a mixing bowl and add 200 grams of tofu to it. Tofu should be cut into small pieces.
- Add turmeric powder, rock salt, and cayenne pepper to it.
- Mix it well and keep it aside.
- Now take a pan and heat it.
- Add cold-pressed coconut oil.
- Add some garlic, onion, tomato, ginger, and green chili
- Cook till veggies turn soft
- Now we will add some cashews and whole spices i.e. Cinnamon, black pepper,green cardamom, and cloves
- Now stir to mix everything
- Now we will add rock salt, red chili powder, haldi powder, and crushed coriander
- Close the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes
- Then remove the lid and add water
- Give it a good mix and then let it cool down
- Now, blend all the ingredients together until you get a smooth puree.
- Take a fresh pan and heat it
- Add cumin seeds and roast them well
- Transfer the puree from the blender to the pan
- Transfer the tofu we kept aside in the bowl
- Mix everything properly
- You can add the desired amount of water to adjust the consistency
- Let it boil for 2-3 minutes so that the tofu gets mixed properly with the other ingredients.
- Now we will garnish with green coriander and kasoori methi
- Mix everything together.
- Yay! Your Shahi Tofu is ready!

Tofu

In females, it increases breast milk production and helps with menstrual cramps.
