Ingredients

  1. Coconut oil – 1 teaspoon (cold pressed)
  2. Cumin – 1 teaspoon
  3. Black pepper – 3-4 (whole)
  4. Carrots – 1 cup (finely chopped)
  5. Cauliflower – 1 cup (small in pieces)
  6. Beans – 1 cup (finely chopped)
  7. Moong – 1 cup (sprouted)
  8. Salt – 1 teaspoon
  9. Green chili – 1 (chopped finely)
  10. Brown rice – 2 cups (cooked, boiled)

For tempering

  1. Mustard seeds – 1 teaspoon
  2. Desi ghee – 1 teaspoon
  3. Red chili – 1 (whole)
  4. Curry leaves – 8- 10

How to Cook

To enjoy this tasty recipe, you just have to follow some basic instructions provided below. And do not forget to share the recipe with your family and friends.

  1. Take a cauldron, heat it and add coconut oil 
  2.  Now add cumin and black pepper and roast them prop
  3.  Now, it’s time for veggies. Add carrot, cabbage, and beans.
  4.  We will add some sprouted moong dal for added nutritional value
  5. Now add some salt and green chili 
  6. Mix everything properly 
  7. Cover and cook it for 2 minutes, just Make sure it is not overcooked
  8. If you suspect burning, add some water
  9. Let it cook for 8- 10 minutes so that veggies turn soft and crunchy
  10.  Now add cooked, boiled brown rice
  11. Add water and mix all the ingredients
  12. Your khichdi is ready.
  13. We will go for tempering to enhance its flavor. 
  14. Take a frying pan and add desi ghee and mustard seeds
  15. Add red chili and curry leaves and wait for the crackling sound 
  16. Pour it over khichdi
  17. Now, all done! Your delicious khichdi is all set to serve.
