Hey foodies!
Warmest hugs to you. As always today we are here to share an amazing recipe, perhaps, this is quite a basic one! “Being vegan comes with a lot of challenges” Well certainly not, turning vegan can be easy if you know the drill and we will tell you how.
The most important thing newly turned vegans look for is a perfect replacement for milk, there are plenty of options though but coconut milk is the most nutritious and easily accessible, so today we will learn how to make coconut milk on our own. Well, coconut milk is not only restricted to vegans. Anyone can try out this nutritious and delicious nectar, so without wasting your time, we will come straight to the point.
How to prepare?
Preparing coconut milk is extremely easy, the only ingredients you need here is coconut and water. Well obviously. Just take half coconut and chop it down into pieces, now your coconut milk is just one switch away and that switch belongs to your mixer grinder, so just grind the chopped coconut along with one cup of water, now again add one cup water and blend again.
Now take a bowl and spread a clean cloth over it, pour the ingredients of your mixer jar over the cloth and strain the liquid. The liquid collected on your bowl is coconut milk and you have full right to consume it as you have prepared it yourselves.
Benefits
Coconut milk is packed with a lot of healthy nutrients, it is loaded with vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6 as well as iron, calcium, selenium, sodium, manganese, phosphorus, a lot of proteins and natural oils. It reinforces the immune system and contributes to strong and healthy bones. Coconut milk when applied topically on the skin helps in maintenance of the skin’s elasticity. This effectively reduces wrinkle formation giving you a more youthful appearance. Its antibacterial properties are said to contribute towards acne prevention.
Coconut milk can be an excellent option for fulfilling almost all your nutrient deficiencies, and now that you know the way of extracting the coconut milk you probably should give it a try.
